FMG REDUCES RISK BY A FIFTH FOR INGERSOLL RAND
2 December 2013
Incident management specialist FMG has been awarded a major contract to reduce risk for a 336-vehicle fleet belonging to leading commercial product manufacturer, Ingersoll Rand. Incident rates have been slashed by 20% within the first few months of the contract, equating to a cost saving of around £50,000.
The risk reduction element of the contract uses a variety of techniques, including driver training, aimed at minimising the chance of incidents and therefore protecting staff and company assets. When incidents do occur, FMG will expertly manage the claim to ensure vehicles are repaired to a high standard and returned to a road-worthy condition as efficiently as possible.
Paul Holmes, FMG’s Strategic Account Director responsible for risk said: “As part of FMG’s unique ‘prevention is better than cure’ proposition, we’ve developed a range of services to help eliminate risks from fleet operations. Ingersoll Rand are a large, respected business, and ensuring their vehicles are on the road and ready to meet customer needs, is something we’re looking to ensure. We’ve worked with the business to help implement our risk reduction plan, and explain the clear benefits to the whole company.”
Neil Physick, HR Services Manager of Ingersoll Rand said: “The holistic approach FMG takes to managing incidents was very important to us. FMG have tailored a bespoke risk solution to our fleet, which meets our needs and addresses the unique challenges of our industry, and the benefits are already showing. The flexible approach that has been adopted recognises that no two fleets are the same and therefore cannot be treated with a ‘blanket’ plan.”
FMG’s package of services seeks to reduce the risk of incidents, and expertly manage them if they do occur. The three-year deal covers vehicles across the UK and Ireland.
