FMG ON TRACK WITH BUSINESS CERTIFICATIONS

Leading incident management specialist FMG has bolstered its reputation for putting customers first, by achieving two important accreditations from the BSI and the ISO. The certifications recognise the company’s robust business continuity plans in the shape of BS25999 for business continuity management, as well as ISO27001 for information security.
The continuity management award endorses FMG’s ability to cope with unexpected scenarios, ranging from computer failure to structural damage to buildings, whilst maintaining a seamless level of service for customers.
It covers a wide range of business areas including people, premises, suppliers and assets and recognises the business has the systems in place to continue operating should unforeseen events impact on activity. The process for attaining the standard also encourages continual development of business continuity planning and regular reappraisal of procedures.
The information security standard recognises the way FMG handles customer information and provides evidence of the company’s ability and systems to ensure the safe management of sensitive data.
ISO27001 assures customers and clients of FMG that they can have confidence that their information will be protected when it’s in FMG’s hands. In order to achieve the certification, FMG had to demonstrate they had reliable systems in place, suiting the unique characteristics of the business and industry, which includes 19 separate information security related policies.
