Motor Claims Engineer

Job Title: Motor Claims Engineer

Ref No: MCE-PLE-0517

Salary: £Competitive + Benefits

Location: Huddersfield or Peterlee, Co Durham

We are committed to developing our next generation of experts and believe that by nurturing our own talent, we have a positive impact on both our people and our partners.

We continue to grow rapidly and are now able to offer five high-performing, ambitious individuals a rare opportunity to take the next exciting step.

Who are we?

Auxillis and FMG are part of Redde plc. We work with a range of corporate clients, motor groups and insurers, delivering exceptional services 24/7, 365 days a year to motorists across the UK.

In an exciting change to the way we work, we’ve recently created a nationwide automotive engineering team. Our newly combined office-based teams work across two sites in Huddersfield & Co Durham, providing in-house technical support to our business and ensuring service excellence from our network of vehicle repair partners.

What will I be doing?

After initial training, you will be mentored by an experienced colleague, who will guide your development and provide support as you manage your own caseload of repair assessments, monitoring and evaluating the quality of estimates ensuring agreed quality & cost standards are met. As you grow into the role and your knowledge and confidence increase, you will take increasing responsibility for a broader, more complex mix of higher value cases.

Your aim? To deliver an exceptional day-to-day service to our repair partners.

Is this role for you?

Realistically, you will already work in the motor trade in a workshop or bodyshop role as a key part of the repair process - your specialism isn't important! Our teams include painters, technicians, panel beaters, mechanics and METs, but what they all share is that theyunderstand how a repair should work and the process of making a vehicle safe for the road.

It's likely that you will be entirely new to estimating and engineering but know you are capable of more. We are looking for those who have earned a good reputation in their current company and have a perceptive, logical outlook, able to work in partnership to solve issues.

If this doesn't sound like you, don't worry!

Perhaps you're already an ATA/VDA, IMI or IAEA accredited Estimator or Engineer? We'd still like to hear from you ... we're open to idea's and if you can sell yourself to us, we'll get a great idea of how you'd work with our partners!

In return, you can expect:

  • Full corporate induction training, a personalised development plan and ongoing support in a friendly, enjoyable, encouraging work environment;

  • A competitive salary to match your experience and skills;

  • Additional benefits package including company pension scheme, share save scheme and staff discounts;
